Commissioners in favour of fixed speed cameras
Around seven in ten motorists travelling through Colby do so over the speed limit, according to a recent study.
The local authority there used a 'smiley Sid' device to measure how fast drivers were going through the village, where there's a 30mph restriction in place.
After the Department of Infrastructure confirmed that fixed speed cameras are set to be 'trialled' on the Isle of Man soon, Arbory and Rushen Commissioners said they'd be in favour of the plans.
