Police say man is now being dealt with by 'appropriate agencies'
Specialist firearms officers were used yesterday (31 May) to help find a high-risk missing person.
Police have confirmed to Manx Radio an incident on Lower Dukes Road in Douglas was linked to an appeal for help in finding a man now described as ‘vulnerable’.
Officers had told people not to approach the man who they shared a photograph of on social media – they didn’t name him.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says the armed police were used to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
A spokesperson added: "We thank the public for their assistance during the investigation.
"The person involved is being dealt with by the appropriate agencies."
