Local authority sets rates at 125 pence in the pound
The rates in Arbory are going up by over 4% this year.
Arbory Parish Commissioners have announced a rise of 5p to 125 pence in the pound, which is 4.2% higher than the current rate.
The local authority says the increase is to cover some of the functions taken on from central government, as well as the 5.7% rise in waste disposal announced by the Department of Infrastructure.
The board has also budgeted for works to control Japanese Knotweed in the Colby river and set aside funds for youth facilities in the area.
