Support in principle for idea
Responsibility for maintaining the Island's 'green lanes' could soon be passed down to local authorities.
The idea has been touted by Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer, citing the example of Beach Buddies, the charity which works to clean up the Manx shoreline through volunteers' efforts.
Stretched Government budgets could also be helped if the move does come to fruition.
