Figure up slightly on March
The registered number of unemployed on the Island last month (April) was the lowest since 2004.
That's the headline figure from the latest Isle of Man Labour Market Report.
At the end of April there were 407 registered unemployed people on the Island, up 8 from March, but down 55 on the same time last year, giving an unemployment rate of 1% . . up 0.1% on March.
The figure was made up of 291 men and 116 women.
Retail, catering and entertainment had the highest number of unemployed people on the register, with 33 in each sector, though catering and entertainment also had the highest number of job vacancies, with 131 listed.
The International Labour Organisation figure - which estimates the number of people looking for work who are not registered claimants - was up 2% at 852.
