The Isle of Man’s been celebrating April Fool’s Day today – with a selection of pranks from a wide variety of institutions.
On Manx Radio, a few listeners were taken in by our story about a computer keyboard that can switch from Manx to English.
But others were keen to mark the day with some silliness too.
Getting in on the hijinks this morning was Isle of Man Post Office, which announced on Twitter this morning that it would cut carbon emissions by introducing carrier pigeons.
And haulier firm Manx Independent Carriers said it had discovered video footage proving recent modifications to the Ben my Chree made it faster than the Manannan.
In the South, Mantons in Port Erin posted a picture online of its planning application to build a rocket to Mars to boost the Manx space industry.
Meanwhile in the West, Peel Cathedral said it was getting rid of St German because of national bias – and replacing its patron with St Europa.
