Appeal for public to report Dutch Elm Disease

Island's oldest elm saved after early spot

'See It, Snap It, Send It' - that's the message from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture in the wake of a flare up in Dutch Elm Disease in the Island.

The appeal comes after forestry workers carried out pruning to save a tree at Milntown which, at around 300 years, is thought to be the Island's oldest elm.

Dutch Elm Disease Coordinator Jimmy Lee explains what to look out for.
