The public could soon be charged for lodging planning appeals, under plans to save costs.
A consultation begins today (Monday) which could lead to a one-off fee of £150 charged to those who challenge a planning decision.
That sum would be refunded if the appeal's successful.
Government says it's among a number of proposals aimed at improving efficiency in the planning system.
Marian Kenny reports (audio file attached):
The consultation document can be downloaded from the government website gov.im
Resposes must be submitted by November 19.
