Minister appears on Mandate special
Any allegations about possible tax evasion practices on the Island will ne investigated.
So says Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly.
Several claims were made in Monday's Panorama programme which explored the so-called "Paradise Papers", exposing what's claimed to be widespread tax evasion practices among the super rich using offshore centres around the world, including the Isle of Man.
Mr Skelly was speaking on a specially extended Mandate programme this morning (Wed) in which a panel of guests including advocate and author Paul Beckett, Phil Craine from local group, Taxwatch, who appeared on the Panorama programme, former Tax Director at Equiom Phil Dearden and Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
