MHK wants school summer holiday food voucher scheme extended
An MHK has described the School Summer Holiday Food Voucher Scheme as a ‘quick fix’.
Ann Corlett stood to second a motion from Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson, as he looked to extend the vouchers over the summer holidays.
Mrs Corlett - who is a member of the department - said there’s a lack of evidence about ‘holiday hunger’ on the island.
She wants to see more research:
