Chair Jackie Faragher says it's 'important' to preserve the monument
The Chair of Andreas Commissioners says everyone in the parish will be 'proud' to see the war memorial on Remembrance Sunday.
It was last refurbished 12 years ago and it's hoped the works carried out this year will protect it for a number of years to come.
It's located in Andreas Church and at 41 feet is the second tallest on the Island, behind Douglas' Cenotaph.
Jackie Faragher says it's 'important' to preserve the memorial to honour the men who died in the First World War.
