Fatty deposits of a white, lard-like substance continue to be found washed-up on beaches around the Island.
The government analyst has confirmed they are animal or vegetable based, but where they've come from remains a mystery.
Coastguards collected sackfuls of the fatty lumps at the weekend and warned dog walkers not to let their pets near them.
Inquiries are being made into the possibility the fat was discharged or leaked from a ship passing the Island.
