AMEX clarifies position in respect of Isle of Man customers

Support for card holders but no new products available

American Express says it will continue to support Manx credit card holders despite withdrawing some products.

The company has issued a statement, to Manx Radio, to clarify the status of card holders on the Isle of Man.

The company says it's not withdrawing from the Island but International Currency card holders have been contacted to say these specific cards will no longer be available in the crown dependencies.

It adds it will support card members who are not in possession of an international currency card but new applicants, for consumer and small business cards, are required to have a permanent UK address.
