Amber weather warning issued

It will be in place around high tide on Saturday

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for coastal overtopping on Saturday.

A large spring high tide tomorrow at around 1pm will occur in conjunction with fairly strong winds, resulting in quite large waves breaking over some exposed coastal areas for a few hours.

Some debris will be brought ashore, particularly in places exposed to the south or southwest.

The areas most at risk are Shore Road, Castletown promenade, more northern parts of Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey promenades.

The warning will be in place from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
