Possible coastal overtopping later
An amber weather warning has been issued about coastal overtopping later today.
With the gale to severe gale force winds, the sea is very rough.
All scheduled sailings today have been cancelled.
High tide will be at 18:14 and this coupled with the strong winds could lead to moderate coastal overtopping of water and debris.
Areas likely to be affected include Shore Road in Rushen, central and northern parts of Douglas Promenade and to a lesser extent Laxey and Ramsey Promenades.
