Amber weather warning issued with more heavy rain forecast

20-30mm of rainfall expected over nine-hour period

An amber weather warning will come into force at midnight with more heavy rain forecast.

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued the alert from 12am until 10am tomorrow Island wide, with higher amounts of rainfall expected over the hills, and river levels could rise.

20-30mm are expected over a nine-hour period before clearing mid morning tomorrow, which is likely to lead to surface water flooding on many of the Island's roads.

The peak of the rainfall is expected between 3am and 6am, which could impact commuter traffic.
