Severe gales expected over the weekend
An amber weather warning has been issued for severe gales overnight Saturday into Sunday (24-25 October).
A deep area of low pressure associated with Storm Boelo is expected to bring gale to severe gale force winds across the Isle of Man.
Gusts overnight into Sunday are expected to reach 60-70mph quite widely across the Island.
Ronaldsway Met Office say winds this strong bring a risk of damage, especially to trees which currently remain in full leaf, as well as disruption to travel.
The amber warning will come into force from 6pm tomorrow and remain in place until 3pm on Sunday.
