Ronaldsway Met Office warns of standing water, localised flooding and coastal overtopping
An amber weather warning has been issued for tomorrow (Saturday 30 December) with heavy rain expected to cause flooding in some parts of the Island.
The warning will be in force from 7am to 2pm, with forecasters expecting 15-20mm of rain at low levels, with 30-40mm over high ground.
Ronaldsway Met Office says this will lead to standing water, as well as a moderate risk of localised flooding, particularly in areas recently affected by flooding.
Minor coastal overtopping resulting in debris on exposed coast roads is also expected around high tide tomorrow lunchtime, with Douglas promenade, Laxey prom, Ramsey prom, Shore Road in Rushen and Castletown prom likely to be affected.
