'Amateur meteorologist' hopes to inspire others 

He aims to create 'live features' and a website 

An 'amateur' meteorologist says he has big plans for his social media weather page in the coming months. 

In December last year, Gary Mann, who has always had a passion for the weather, created the Gary Mann Weather Hub on Facebook. 

He says it's not to be in competition with Ronaldsway Met Office but to act as a dedicated page that Isle of Man residents can refer to throughout the day. 

"I'm not in competition with the Isle of Man Met Office. I'm just offering a service that's additional to theirs."

Gary has 'exciting' plans to expand his page by offering live features and a website.
