Chief minister can't provide figure but says they are 'critical' 

The chief minister has admitted it’s ‘almost impossible’ to determine how much money government has spent on running consultations.

Thirty-three were carried out in 2024.

Alfred Cannan has described them as a ‘critical part’ of the process of developing new policies and legislation.

In the House of Keys this week (25 February) he was quizzed on how much they cost by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
