Total emergency events totalled 2,665
New figures from the Emergency Service Joint Control Room shows 2,092 emergency calls were made during the first month of the year, with an average answer time of 1.5 seconds.
As a result, the 999 calls prompted 1,229 police responses, 1,309 ambulance call-outs and 127 fire service attendances.
Non-999 calls made during January total at 18,597.
And radio transmissions – the technology emergency service personnel use to communicate with each other – were made 110,316 times.
