MHK awaits findings
An MHK says allegations of tax avoidance may be compromised if the evidence used to make them was illegally obtained.
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), responsible for leaking the Panama Papers, claims to have proof of abusive tax avoidance taking place on the Island.
Dr Alex Allinson said Tynwald members received a briefing on the issue prior to the Chief Minister's press conference with local media last week.
He says although the claims have yet to be substantiated, some would take any opportunity to show the Island in a bad light:
