Developers want to build a mezzanine floor inside
Planning permission is being sought to change All Saints Church into gym.
The church has been closed for several years and has been designated as an 'assembly and leisure' development site.
Plans for the gym include building a mezzanine floor for cardio equipment and a consultation room, new changing rooms and reusing the font as a water fountain.
It says there are 21 parking spaces available on site with five for bicycles and five for motorbikes but claims there will be less than the 350 people that could be accommodated by the church using the gym at any one time.
There are also designs for a wheelchair accessible changing room and toilet, as well as a staircase on the outside of the building for access to the mezzanine floor.
