An upcoming theatre production is hoping to make a big difference for a local charity.
Calendar Girls The Musical is a musical comedy by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth, based on the 2003 film of same name.
The plot centres on a group of friends who set about creating a nude calendar to raise money for charity, something the show's own cast did at the end of last year.
Later this month, Stage Door Entertainment is bringing the show to the Gaiety stage for the first time - with all proceeds going to the BIG Manx Community charity.
It's after Stage Door Entertainment co-director Krissy Sutcliffe's husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October 2022.
The group say that 'although he is responding well to treatment currently, this show is very much a passion project for Stage Door Entertainment'.
The BIG Manx Community Charity will be using the proceeds directly to support those affected by cancer, whether they are living with the disease or nearing the end of life.
Krissy Sutcliffe and Lisa Kreisky told Howard Caine the production is a 'joyous rollercoaster of emotion':

The show contains swearing, adult themes and nudity.
Therefore under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
