DEC takes decision this morning
All schools have been closed today (8 Dec) following bad weather causing major disruption in different areas of the Island.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture took the decision this morning after numerous roads have been closed, and bus services temporarily suspended.
The closures includes University College Isle of Man.
King Williams College and the Buchan were also closed earlier this morning.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen says it was the right call to make:
"When you're delivering healthcare on an island, your costs are going to be higher"
