Rising number of Covid cases leads to gates closing
The eastern and western civic amenity sites are closing with immediate effect.
Douglas Council says the increasing number of Covid-19 cases on the Island has led to the decision in the east.
It's so both staff, and members of the public, are protected and people don’t leave their houses to use the facility.
The western site quotes the same reasons and says the decision will be reviewed 'every few days'.
The northern and southern sites shut their gates earlier in the week.
