Patient 'did not need treatment from major trauma centre'
The Great North Air Ambulance was called out yesterday to help in the response to the road traffic collision at Ballaugh.
The road was shut shortly before 2pm, with police warning motorists to stay away and diversions put in place.
The air ambulance says it was on the scene within 32 minutes and got straight to work checking the patient over.
It says the team was happy the patient was stable and not in need of treatment from a major trauma centre, so was taken to hospital by road ambulance instead.
