Float procession due to take place on 23 July
African and Caribbean nationalities will be part of a float procession during Douglas Carnival for the first time.
After three years the event is set to return on 23 July.
Madina Sharpe, who moved to the Island 20 years ago, says they were approached by Douglas Borough Council to be part of the celebration.
She told Manx Radio it’s an 'honour' and shows both communities are 'accepted and loved' on the Island.
And she wants more people to join the procession:
