Fundraiser in aid of east Africa crises
A fund raiser to raise money to help in the relief effort following the devastating floods in Zimbabwe is getting underway on the Island.
The Adventist Development Relief Agency's - or ADRA's - annual door to door campaign began this weekend and continues for two weeks.
ADRA was one of the first agencies on the scene in the recent disaster but also works in other parts of the world and in the UK with homeless and disadvantaged people.
On the Island they also raise funds for Rebecca House.
Local agent for ADRA, Shasha Mugai, says whilst the story may have disappeared from the headlines, help is still desperately needed.
