Hooper quizzed on efforts to prevent loneliness
Tackling loneliness and isolation on the Isle of Man needs 'robust' third sector support to be effective.
That's the belief of the health and social care minister who was asked this week how the issue is being addressed in the south of the Island.
Lawrie Hooper says charities, and community initiatives, provide vital services but are always at risk if they're unable to fundraise.
He believes new local area co-ordinators for the southern region could help:
DoI to move to monthly dredging in order to protect harbour depth
Oie Voaldyn: 'Our event is not cancelled'
Last chance to enter 2026 Parish Walk
April: 'Warm, dry and sunny' says Met Office
