Just two vote against
The Abortion Reform Bill has passed its third reading in the House of Keys.
After several weeks looking at wording and detail in the clauses stage, members debated Dr Alex Allinson's Bill as a whole.
After a relatively short debate, where both East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw and South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft spoke to say they couldn't support the Third Reading, the Bill was passed with 22 votes for and just the two against.
Standing to move the Third Reading, Dr Alex Allinson told the House he was aware the Bill had involved a huge amount of trust.
The Bill will now go to Legislative Council for consideration.
