Call for Manx farming to be diversified
A petition aimed at allowing farmers to grow industrial hemp on the Isle of Man has reached a thousand signatures.
Launched by sheep farmer and postman Bob Comish and friend Pippa Clare via the online petitioning site change.org, 'the Manx Hemp Campaign' is hoping to lobby government for hemp-growing licences.
Mr Comish, who admits there is confusion over the legal status of hemp, said it is time to diversify Manx farming.
