Local jeweller overwhelmed by experience
The Queen has been sent a gift designed and created in the Isle of Man to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
It's a brooch in the shape of the Island with three gems representing the towns of Castletown, Peel and Ramsey and one for the city of Douglas.
The gem colours were chosen to represent Manx tartan.
It was made at the Element Isle workshop in St Johns, where a replica is now on display.
The brooch has been sent along with a letter of congratulations from Chief Minister Alfred Cannan on behalf of the Government.
Mr Cannan hopes the unique piece of jewellery will rekindle fond memories for Her Majesty of her visits over here during her long reign.
