MHK pleased with bid to examine ferry operator's practices
An MHK says it's 'phenomenal' that his bid to review the Steam Packet has resulted in the setting up of a committee.
Jason Moorhouse wanted to assess the possibility of the Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority regulating the ferry operator.
But Tynwald opted instead to form a select committee to look into the Sea Services Agreement and the shareholder status of the Treasury - it will report back in September.
Mr Moorhouse told Manx Radio why he brought this matter to the Court's attention:
Relatives seeking clarity over potential plans to relocate dementia patients
MHK calls for action over 'atrocious' road signage
Cruise passengers affected by downed railway lines
