Minister hopes hourly service will better serve passengers
The new 8S bus route connecting the south of the Island with Peel will begin on Saturday morning (9 August).
A special trial service has taken place this morning, carrying passengers from the Department of Infrastructure and the Save Our Cregneash Bus campaign group.
As well as stops at the airport, Castletown and Port Erin, the 8S will also serve Cregneash and the Sound, which have been without a bus service since the cancellation of the 28.
Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood hopes the new service will better suit the needs of those using it:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
