Police call for witnesses to Friday assaults
Witnesses are called on to come forward after a 70-year-old man was injured by youths in Peel.
A group of young people were seen punching and kicking a bus stop shelter on Derby Road on Friday at around 9:35pm.
Two members of the public intervened to put a stop to it.
Both were verbally and physically assaulted - which led to one of the suspects being arrested that evening.
Police say recently, a 'minority of youths' in the area are causing 'upset and damage'.
The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team asks anyone who saw what happened to call 842 208 - as it looks to identify others involved.
