Treasury response to cost-of-living crisis
More than £52,000 was spent funding ‘warm spaces’ over five months.
The money for the Community Warm Spaces fund – which came from Treasury – was part of a response to the cost-of-living crisis in light of rising energy bills.
Between October and March the Manx Lottery Trust oversaw the distribution of financial support to organisations offering people somewhere warm to congregate.
Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan says whilst government funding has stopped the support hasn’t:
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
