Employees offered voluntary redundancy

Manx Telecom is planning to shed up to 40 jobs as part of a major company restructure.

Voluntary redundancy packages are being offered to staff at the firm's headquarters in Isle of Man Business Park, but MT says while it aims to slim down the workforce, there's no recruitment freeze.

The move is part of a company Transformation Programme aimed at making the business more competitive.

The two-year restructuring will also include a 'significant investment' in technology.

CEO Gary Lamb says the overhaul is 'an essential part of Manx Telecom's evolution' - and is confident staff will view the severance packages on offer as an opportunity to start afresh.
