Emergency Department sees highest attendance for such illnesses in five years
The number of patients attending GP surgeries for respiratory infections increased by more than 30% last week.
It comes as admissions to the Emergency Department at Noble's Hospital for such illnesses is at a five-year high.
The latest surveillance data from Public Health Isle of Man shows a 31% increase in GP appointments across all age groups.
The same week saw a 9% rise in attendances at ED, which exceeds the peak seen in 2019 by 17%.
