Almost 40% found to have faulty lights at Hairpin
Almost 40% of vehicles stopped by the Island's roads police were found to have defects.
Officers spoke to 53 motorists while conducting checks with Vehicle Examiners from the Department of Infrastructure at the Hairpin on Wednesday.
21 were given vehicle defect notices due to faulty lights.
The Roads Policing Unit is conducting checks around the Island to ensure vehicles are fit for the road heading into winter.
