Timeline presented to Tynwald
An Onchan MHK has described the proposed rollout of 20mph in residential areas as a 'political train crash'.
It comes as Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood has presented an implementation plan to Tynwald.
It set out a staged timeline running until summer 2026, focussing initially on Douglas and Onchan, followed by northern, central, and southern areas of the Island.
But Rob Callister has criticised what he calls a 'lack of consultation and transparency' over the proposals:
Minister Haywood says the final decision on what roads become 20mph roads will only be made after consultations have been held in all areas affected.
