It's to allow for work on the bridge's hydraulic systems
The Fenella Footbridge in Peel will be closed from today (8 September) for the next four weeks.
It's to allow for maintenance work on the bridge's hydraulic systems and the bridge will also be repainted.
The flap gate under the bridge will not be affected by this work and access for vessels to and from the inner harbour will be maintained.
Public parking on the stone pier opposite Weatherglass Corner will not be available for the duration of the works and, at times, pedestrian access to the pier may also be restricted due to safety.
The work is expected to be completed by 4 October.
