Penalties for 12 businesses and two individuals
Fines totalling more than £17,000 have been handed down to two individuals and 12 businesses.
They were imposed by magistrates at Douglas Courthouse for Income Tax and National Insurance offences.
More than £14,000 of the total sum related to nine corporates for failing to pay Income Tax instalments and or class 1 NI contributions by the due date.
An individual who failed to submit a personal Income Tax form at the correct time was fined £980.
