Your chance to spot the first supermoon of the year

The Quadrantid meteor shower will also take place tonight

Did you see the first supermoon of the year this morning?

If not, you'll get another chance tonight. 

Astronomer Howard Parkin says Island residents will be in for a treat and there'll also be the Quadrantid meteor shower. 

The display, according to Mr Parkin, can produce up to 100 meteors an hour and will be seen from the northern horizon around midnight:
