The new Manx Bard would like to promote poetry around the Island and encourage more people to get involved.
Boakesey Closs is the ninth bard.
She believes it's not just an elitist activity and is hoping to get the message across that it's 'not just for the people in ivory towers of academia'.
She told Howard Caine it's for everyone:
