Manx Radio has picked up its award recognising it for its support of defence.
In August it was announced as one of 193 organisations to receive the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
It champions companies and organisations which support defence through support of cadet volunteers, Reservist staff and the veteran community, ensuring those who serve or have served, are treated fairly.
At a special awards ceremony in Liverpool, His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer presented the award to the public service broadcaster.
Speaking afterwards, Sir John said: "I was delighted to be asked to present Manx Radio with its Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award.
"Manx Radio has now joined the Isle of Man Government as recipients of the prestigious Gold Award, which I feel is fitting recognition of the station’s commitment to the community in this, its 60th anniversary year."
Manx Radio, which falls into the ‘North-West of England and the Isle of Man’ region, started the journey five years ago with a successful application to be a Bronze member of the scheme.
Managing Director Chris Sully and Commercial Director Tony Palmer joined representatives from 24 other organisations across the region being recognised at the ceremony, including NHS hospitals and Trusts, Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, Liverpool John Moores University and Cammell Laird.
Chris, who is an RAF Reservist officer himself, said: "It was fantastic to be at the event and to represent both Manx Radio and the Isle of Man."
