Island’s musicians take on well-established competition in Blackpool
Four Manx brass bands travelled to Blackpool last weekend to compete in the North West Regional Championships, taking on well-established bands from across the region.
In the Fourth Section, Onchan Silver Band secured third place, while Manx Youth Band - returning to the competition after a nine-year absence - finished fifth.
Ramsey Town Band placed sixth in the same category, which saw 13 bands compete.
Manx Concert Brass competed in the First Section, finishing 16th out of 17 bands.
