All are welcome to this FREE traditional Manx Gaelic song workshop on Saturday 8th November from 2pm - 4pm taking place at Thie dy Vea retreat house in Peel.
No prior knowledge of Manx is necessary as this workshop is aimed at complete beginners. While the workshop is primarily aimed at adults (16+), young people aged 11+ are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult.
Ruth Keggin Gell will lead the workshop, guiding participants through a range of traditional Manx Gaelic songs over the course of an enjoyable and varied two hours. Songs will be taught by ear, but printed lyrics will be provided.
As well as holding the position of Yn Greinneyder (Culture Vannin's Manx Language Development Officer), Ruth is a critically-acclaimed Manx Gaelic singer, and a qualified and experienced teacher.
During the workshop there will be a comfort break, during which time refreshments will be available for a small donation to Thie dy Vea.
