The annual family fair / afternoon tea will take place 1.30 pm to 4 pm Saturday 5th September next to Stanton Church. Children's activities, organ recitals .
There will be lots of fun activities for our children (face painting, bouncy castle, great horses and farm animals) , organ recitals in the church and we hope that all of you will reconnect with old friends and family in this huge virtual community that centres around the ancient site, the church and the meeting room.
We welcome all of you to this place, at this time, to celebrate and enjoy the afternoon at the end of this summer. Tea , coffee, and various refreshments will be provided. All help appreciated!
Donations towards the nursery extension and church / community meeting room will be welcome.
Each one of us is a thread that makes the tapestry of history here.
For some it will be the Sunshine Nursery and those first friendships forged with children and fellow parents.
For others, Sunday School or the many thanksgivings, celebrations, baptisms and marriages in the church over the years.
For many of us, it is the memories of those we loved who now rest in the churchyard. We also welcome those who are coming new to the area and have chosen to live and raise their families here.
We know this as an ancient and historic site but it is also a growing centre for the parish of Santon and we thank the Commissioners for their support in this annual event.
We would like you to come and see our exciting new plans, now we have progressed with the landscaping, new burial ground and as we restore the church and develop the meeting room and gardens.
