A full evening of criminally good tales, Martin Edwards and Caroline England discuss their work, and talk about what attracted them to writing crime. Sample some Bushy’s Manx Litfest Beer then The Bookshop Band will be performing some of the more crime-inclined songs from their repertoire.
Martin is the winner of the CWA Diamond Dagger 2020, the biggest honour in UK crime writing, as well as being one of the longest-serving Chairs of the Crime Writers’ Association and President of the Detection Club.
Caroline is the author of bestselling domestic psychological thrillers, such as My Husband’s Lies (2018) and The Stranger Beside Me (2023). She also pens gothic-tinged psychological thrillers under the name C E Rose, including titles such as #The Attic at Wilton Place (2023).
Ben Please and Beth Porter write and perform songs about books and describe their band as ‘the offspring of an artistic love-affair between a duo of English folk singer-songwriters and an independent bookshop in the UK, Mr. B’s Emporium of Reading Delights.
